An Unexpected Surprise

The storm clouds have cleared in our household. It is amazing what a good cry can do to make you feel better about everything!

One of the things I have been talking about in my blog posts is about being stuck in a rut. The hubs and I have been so busy and stressed with things these last few weeks we have pushed each other aside along with making time for our relationship. We have agreed we are in a rut and will do anything to fix it. Truth be told it's hard not to take your marriage for granted sometimes

So today I took a step towards climbing out of that rut. One thing that hubs and I are bad at is doing unexpected things for the other. We def are not the type of couple to surprise each other with little gifts. So I decided to change that. The hubs has been dying for a new iPod. So today I went out and got him the new 16gig iPod nano. I also picked up unromantic card and plan on leaving it on top of his computer for him to find when he gets home. I'm so excited for him to find it. Then tomm I'm going to take him to dinner and a movie and then Sunday to the pumpkin patch. I can't wait for this weekend to begin!

  3. I definately just had a "oh my goodness why didn't I think of that?" moment. I think this means I need to plan a "surprise weekend" with the husband.

  4. Thats so sweet! He's going to be super happy :)

I was going to go out and get K a present today while he was at work. Then he came upstairs to get the truck keys b/c the jeep's battery is dead.

So there went that idea. I'm stuck here with no car :(

  7. I am so incredibly glad to hear this!! You know, I hate it, but I really feel like whenever I have a big cryfest is when a light finally goes off in my hubs' head like "Dang, this is serious, maybe we should work on this." But the end results are always worth it :) (Not to mention "Make-up Coloring" haha)
