Some Haunting Reads

I don't know what it is about this time of year that makes me want to only wear plaid shirts and ugg boots, light a fire and curl up under a pile of blankets and either read or watch something spooky. I shared with you a few weeks ago some of my favorite Halloween movies to watch and thought I would share with you some of my favorite spooky reads. Some from when I was a kid and some that I am reading now

This book freaked me out as a kid. My cousins and I used to take turns reading the stories when we were up north at our family's place

Another childhood favorite

I read this to Ethan every night. Super cute
I read this book before it became a lifetime series. I am excited to read the other two in the series now that I have started watching the show

Nora roberts always writes some fun, mystical books. I am excited for her new trilogy to be released a few days before Halloween

One of my favorite reads back when I was in high school
I picked up this book for Gianna. I love fancy nancy
Of course I had to throw some Twilight into the mix

Another childhood favorite. One that I bought for my kids although it may be a little to spooky for them just now. I will stick to Biscuits First Halloween and fancy nancy!

Any spooky reads you recommend?

  1. Ha! I read the first book, Scary stories in the dark, when I was a teenager. Loved it! I don't read scary books anymore because I'm a big frady cat. LOL
