I can't believe that you are 6 months old already. I know I say this every time but I do not know where the time is going. It has been flying by. It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant with you and here you are, growing up before my eyes!
You truly are the love of my life.(Besides your daddy of course) You are such a happy baby. You are always smiling. You are trying so hard to crawl and you have officially mastered the scoot. That def get's you where you want to go.You can roll from front to back and back to front. You can pull yourself up to a standing position and hate laying down. You love your walker and bouncer and your two favorite toys are your Sophie or your Laugh and Play Puppy.
Your new favorite thing to do is stick out your tongue and blow raspberries. It's hilarious.You aren't talking yet though in the morning's you are very vocal. I'm trying to get you to say Mama before you say Dada.
You love your daddy. He can make you belly laugh like no one else can. If I try to imitate Daddy you look at me like I'm crazy. That being said you are a mommy's girl. If Daddy is holding you you crane your neck to make sure I'm in the room. If I leave you cry and when you are fussy or upset about something it is me you want and not Daddy. We certainly have our roles. Mommy for comfort Daddy for play
My favorite thing you do this month is lift up your arms and reach for us. Melts my heart. You can be playing away and when you want me you look all around and cry out until you see me. Than you lift up your arms and wait for me to pick you up. So Sweet. You also hug which is just the cutest thing ever! Ahh life with you is such a joy Gianna

We had your six month Dr appt yesterday and he said everything looked great. That you are such a interactive and strong baby! Ha. You only cried for a few seconds when you got your shots but took them like a champ
Diapers-Size 2
Clothes- Size 3, 3-6, or 6 months
Sleep- You still hate sleeping. You fight sleep all day, only taking two 15 minute cat naps and you still hate your crib or bassinet. It's a work in progress
Food- Last month we started you on rice cereal and oatmeal. You loved it though you do prefer your organic oatmeal. We have also introduced peas, sweet potatoes and squash. Your favorite is peas. This week we will also be starting banana's.
You only eat one meal a day and are still breastfed though the dr said I can start doing three meal's a day so that's what we are beginning starting today
I was also told to start you on a sippy cup. I gave you one yesterday and you had no idea what to do with it. Right now you just chew on it like it's a teehter. Oh well
Teeth- None yet although I can feel a little nub in the back of your mouth
Firsts- First time in a swimming pool, first hotel stay, first time sticking out your tongue, first New Year's, first time eating baby food.
Mom and Dad's first night out without you. After two hours we were ready to come home and cuddle up with you! We don't like being away from you for long

ReplyDeletehappy 6months! it took avrie a couple of tries to like bananas- i found out that after i mash it up, warming them in the microwave for 5 seconds helped, she LOVES them now!
