Guest Blogger-From Mrs to Mama

Hey everyone! I have a special treat for y'all. I have one of my favorite bloggers here with an awesome guest post for today. If you do not read Becky's blog you are missing out. I seriously stalk her blog. Daily. I can't get enough. She is hilarious and I think if we lived in the same city I'd be begging her to hang out with me! She is a mom to a beautiful little girl who will be turning 1 soon. I was so excited when she said she would write a post for little ole me. So here she is, Becky from over at From Mrs to Mama

Hey guys! My name is Becky and I blog over at my little corner called From Mrs to Mama. I blog all things related to motherhood, marriage, photography, couponing, and my adventures of becoming domestic.And because I just can't go on without showing you my greatest accomplishment in life... here it is. Or, shall I say, here she is.

So. As you can tell... I am a proud mama. More importantly, I am a mama.

Being a mom has been the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. It is truly a gift. A blessing. Something that we should never take for granted.

And now that I am {almost} 1 year into this mommyhood... there are a few things that I have learned.

{A Short list written to myself}

1. Kiss them often. You can't ever kiss them too much.

2. Teach them. Remember they look up to you. They pick up on everything.

3. Make Memories. Think of fun family activities to do. Go to the zoo. Go to the pumpkin patch. Do crafts together. And most importantly, love each of these moments.

4. Take pictures. Lots of them. Who cares if they are sitting in the same pose... those facial expressions are honestly priceless. And I guarantee you will appreciate having these in the future.

5. Plan ahead. Think about the future. Plan for the future. Buy clothes ahead of time. Review your finances a year in advance. And remember, your child should always come first.

6. Share. Share your child. Others want to love on him or her, or them. Let them. It's okay. Your child/children won't forget that you are the most important. And listen, you are.

7. Never regret. Don't "wish" you did this. Or that. Or why did I do this or that. Trust your decisions. Learn from them. And grow. Because at the end of the day....

You are that child's mother and no one can ever take that away from you.

Yes. I get sappy like that, and you can blame it on the "mom" thing. But in short, this list doesn't even compare to the extended list of lessons learned. Because remember, us moms, we strive for perfection. The super mom title. To be the best for our children. So that they can one day grow up and say.... "That's my mom. And she's my role model"  Right? And yes, I just teared up thinking of my daughter saying that one day. Hoping that I meet her expectations. Praying that I make her proud.

Oh motherhood, thank you for such an amazing {almost} year. I can't wait for the many more years to come.
