Favorite Christmas Movie

Once November hits I am counting down the days to ABC family's 25 days of Christmas. I also start recording every cheesy Christmas movie played on Hallmark or Lifetime. The poor husband cannot understand my obsession with Christmas movies but I love them. I already told my family that every night I am in town we need to watch a Christmas movie. I thought I'd share with you some of my favorites

In no particular order...

1.
The Blessing, The Blessing. Need I say more. This movie is hysterical and one that I watch over and over during the holiday's. Heck I will watch it year round. It never gets old

2.
I am not the biggest Will Ferrell fan. I can take him or leave him so when this movie first came out I didn't even bother watching it. I finally watched it a few years later and couldn't believe that I had been missing out on one of the best Christmas movies ever. It is so funny and sweet. I love James Caan and I think the story line is super cute.

3.
I still get goosebumps and start tearing up every time they show the scene where they are singing and performing for the General. The husband had never seen this movie until I played it for him a few years ago. He went out and bought it the next day. It hits my manly man hard as well when the General comes out to a huge burst of applause. One of the best Christmas movies ever

4.
Another favorite. I love the music in it and could watch it all year long as well.

5.
This is my all time favorite version of A Christmas Carol. I grew up watching it. I still remember the VHS tape that contained this movie. We recorded it one year and the football game that was on before it went into overtime. So we have to fast forward an hours worth of a football game to get the movie to start! My mom finally bought my dad the dvd version this year(yes they still have their vhs player)

6.

I lvoe this movie. Every time I watch it I am reminded of going to see it in the theater's with my grandparents. The older version is a classic as well

7

This movie never gets old. I love it although it does bother me how mean his family is to him. Especially his brother. Especially in the sequel. Guess it's the mom in me talking!

8.
This movie makes me laugh and cry. It is so good. Def one of my favorites

9.
I can watch this movie over and over. I love the book and have read it a few times over the years and the movie is awesome. And Christian Bale is mighty yummy in it! So funny to look back and see him in the role of Laurie as compared to his roles of late

10.
And finally the Holiday. This is the perfect romantic comedy to watch during the holidays. And who can't relate to being the girl who hold out hope for a guy who will  never change! Also I vow to own a country cottage in England and make the kids room a huge fort with twinkly lights everywhere. That is one of my favorite scenes of this movie

Of course now that I have the kiddos we also have Rudolph, A Charlie Brown's Christmas, The Elf on the shelf and Polar Express. Let me let you in on a secret. I do not like the polar express. The book magical to me as a child and I found the character's in Polar Express mean and scary. I know none of you will agree with me!

What are your favorite holiday films?
