Baby books

As an avid reader the first thing I did when finding out we were pregnant was head off to barnes and nobles to stack up on pregnancy books

My Picks
What to Expect
The Mayo Clinics Guide to a healthy pregnancy
Expecting 411
The Pregnancy Journal
Pregnancy Week by Week

Any other recommendations? I'm always looking for more

  1. A friend of mine has the "mother of all pregnancy books" and I liked that one when I looked at it. A lot of people have recommended NOT getting What to Expect, I think it's a person choice, Try getting it for free off military One Source, Or I can send you mine if you want.

Pregnancy Week by Week has been strongly recommended to me.

For the husband the hilarity of "my wife is pregnant and I'm having a nervous breakdown" or something of the like is fun for them.

I've read some stuff at the online websites and talked to my doctor.

  2. Hooray for pregnancy books! I have the Bump pregnancy journal, and I've had fun writing in that each week. Also, the Consumer Reports Guide to Baby Products was really helpful for us. We used the safety ratings to help us select the infant seat and other important purchases. Happy reading!

  3. Now that I am at the end of my pregnancy, I've really enjoyed Mayo and Pregnancy Week by Week. I felt these two gave the best info. What to expect is a little too much and often made me feel paranoid with all the info and questions in it. Mayo and Week by Week are much more straight forward true information---more my style. I've also enjoyed reading info on Baby Center.com
