I've always been fascinated with learning and reading about the Salem Witchcraft trials. This has led to an interest in traveling to Salem Massachusetts. The Hubby also has a desire to travel there and we had planned to go about a year ago. I researched some places to stay and touristy things to do but we ended up going because the Hubby had to go outta town for a few weeks for some army related training
So yesterday as we were enjoying time up at his parents cabin I brought up going to Salem
Again. We discussed going in October but hopefully the hubs will be starting a class then so we decided to go around the end of September. We've never taken a historical trip together before and I can't wait to go walk around Salem and possibly Boston Massachusetts. I love older small towns and I am so excited to go. We plan on driving and making a long weekend out of it
So I ask all of my blogger friends, have any of you gone to Salem mass and if so any recommendations on places to stay or visit? Let me know!!!

Good thing you didn't plan for October! It's SO packed around Halloween! Make sure you see the House of Seven Gables, go to Essex for awesome fried clams at Woodmans. And you really need to go to Boston for Fanuel Hall, Harvard Square (Fire and Ice is a MUST for dinner!) and my favorite bar...HENNESSYS!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of your trip!
I haven't been there, but it sounds like it will be a fun trip and I'm super jealous!
ReplyDeleteThat would be a lot of fun! I haven't been. But ya know, if you're driving... you could stop in Newport News, VA on the way up!!! :D
