How to Decorate Wooden Letter's

Now I am not the most crafty person. Or the most creative for that matter. But lately thanks to pinterest I have been trying my hand at more things craft related.

Before Gianna was born I had bought white wooden letter's for her room. I had wanted to paint them or decorate them somehow but the hubs liked them the way they were. Then at a friend's house I saw she had decorated her daughter's letter's with scrapbook paper and I thought I would give it a try

Here are Gianna's letter's before. Quite plain

Here they are after

Here is how I decorated my letter's

What you need
Wooden Letter's-I got mine from Michael's
Elmer's glue stick
Scrapbook paper
ModPodge

Directions
Take your letter's and trace them on scrapbook paper
Cut out
Take a glue stick and evenly cover the scrapbook paper
Place on letter
Cover with modpodge

Some people use modpodge as the glue to stick the paper to the letter's but I found that caused the paper to bubble. The elmer's glue stick worked better to adhere the paper to the letter's and the modpodge gave the product a nice finish

And here are Gianna's new letter's in her room

  2. Very cute!!! I did this but with fabric and it was a pain in the rear! Scrapbook paper would have been so much easier, cheaper and just as cute.
