To cut or not to cut-I need your help

Why is it that summer always makes me want to cut my hair? Last year when I moved to NC I had long hair down past my shoulder blades. Since I have a young looking face, when I showed up at my client's houses for the first time they thought I was 19. Combined with the hot weather here in NC and the fact that I'm always outside with my client's I decided to cut my hair. I cut it into a cute bob about 2 inches off my shoulders. By the end of summer the cut had grown out and it was a little longer than my shoulders. I went back to the salon and asked for an inverted bob cut, one that didn't take off too much length. I left with a lopsided mullet cut that was cut in two layers, one chin length and one ear length. My husband hated it and it took forever to grow out. It has finally grown out and is once again a little past my shoulders. However it is in that in between stage that no matter how I style it it doesn't look too cute.

So tomorrow I am going for a hair cut and can't decide what to do with it. I also have a wedding coming up that I am standing up in so I don't want anything too short. I was watching Tori and Dean the other day and loved Tori's new haircut. But I can't decided if I really want to cut some of my length off. So I decided to post pics and have you all pick which one you like.

I am going in to the salon tomorrow! So please vote and let me know which one you like better!

  1. I say Do it! And go for #1! It'll probably grow into #2 in a month or so anyway :) I just had my middle-of-the-back chopped off to just under my chin and am sooo happy. It's been too hot for the weight to where my hubs said he was tired of hearing me complain and took me to a salon that day haha

  3. I say GO FOR IT! It's just hair, it grows back!! In February I cut 10 inches off for Locks of Love and it looked pretty much like #1. I loved it while it lasted... though I decided this weekend that I'm REALLY missing my long hair. Since your's isn't that long right now, I don't think it would be THAT drastic of a change-- have fun and go for it! :-)

And good god, Tori is sooooo stinkin' skinny :-O

  4. I like #1!! It's similar to my cut and I swear it grows so fast when your hair is short. So if you end up wanting it to be more like #2, you'd be there in no time!

  5. My hair cut is actually identical to #1. I love it. It's still just long enough that I can pull it back in a ponytail to work out, but it's soooo easy to style. It takes me just 10 minutes to blowdry and straighten my hair. But, you do have to go to the salon once a month to keep the shape.

  6. I like number one! I think number two just looks like number one grown out. Short hair does grow super super fast! I had my hair cut like the first last summer and it was amazing and nice and breezy

  7. As much as I love #1, it seems like too many people have that cut right now. Feels like I do that cut every other client. ;P
I really like #2, which seems like just a longer less drastic version of #1, but it also just looks so classy, but also cute.

  8. #1 is adorable. It's more polished than #2. You can cut it now, enjoy it for the summer, and it will be grown out to #2 by the end of the summer anyway -- win win.

  9. I love #1...but I may be biased because that is how I always have my hair but seriously I think it would look so cute on you!

I hate that in-between stage when your hair is impossible!

As for the wedding, you could always pull it half up and do some poof on top with a flower or headband or something to jazz it up...I wouldn't let the wedding make your decision for you!

  10. #2!!!

I had my hair like #1 for a while and although I LOVED it, it required a lot more upkeep. I had to get it cut like every 5 weeks (my hair grows like mad apparently?!) and then we had to move (thank you army) and then no one at our new duty station could cut it quite the same :( so now I'm going for #2-ish, but definitely at a funky inbetween stage right now...

  11. I'd say go for it. I usually chop my hair at the beginning of summer (late may), however this year I've gotten lazy. I need to fix that.

Anyways, I think #1 would look super cute, and I bet it'd grow out relatively quickly.

  12. Go for #1 the short A line. Even tho you will be in a wedding you could curl it really cute and make it a very stylish hair do. I dont have the guts to cut mine that short so I will live curiously threw you:)

  13. I love the first one! In fact, my hair is cut like that right now! I had my hair like the 2nd one about 2 years ago and I just didn't like how long it looked since it was inverted. Good luck!
