Once we found out it was a girl I mainly started buying lovebug clothes and decorations for the nursery. Now as we are less than halfway away to our due date I have a huge list of bigger item's that we need to purchase.
When the hubs and I registered I was only 9 weeks. He was a day away from deploying and wanted to be involved in the process. We hardly knew what all to register for. Like our car seat for example. We registered for one of the convertible car seats thinking that was the way to go. However after a trip to babies r us this weekend I realized we probably should have registered for an infant carrier. We received the car seat from my aunt and debated returning it for the infant carrier but then decided to keep the convertible car seat and purchase an additional infant carrier so that way we will each have a car seat in our cars. The hubs and I decided to go look at the carrier's together but while browsing through a friend's facebook I saw the cutest car seat. It also happened to be one of my favorite baby brands. So I goggled the car seat and found out I could purchase it from Walmart online
Here is a picture of the cutest car seat ever! Well in my opinion anyway
I have my big family and friends shower this weekend in Wisconsin and I cant wait to see what Love Bug will all receive. She is already so spoiled!
One question for all you mom's out there. I registered for a Pack n Play and a Bassinett. I plan on having lovebug stay in our room for the first few months but am unsure if I should just get the pack n play with a bassinett attachment or if I do really need both. What did you all use for the first few months? What are your opinions?
Very cute carseat! Have a great time at the shower! I am sure you will.
ReplyDeleteCUTE carseat! Do you guys have a name picked out yet and you're just not sharing or are you still unsure on the name??
ReplyDeleteWe are using a Pack N play with a bassinet attachment- we don't have enough space to have two separate things PLUS a crib set up! She sleeps great in the pack n play- and it's a travel one so it's tinier than the normal sized one.
ReplyDeleteWe had a pack n play with a bassinet attachment. That is what she slept in for the first three months. I would still recommend getting a pack n play even if you end up using the bassinet because you will use that pack in play through out at least the first two years.
ReplyDeleteThat's the cutest car seat!
ReplyDeleteWe had both, but just because we had the pack n play downstairs for her to nap in, and then I didn't have to take it up to our room at night and there really wasnt any room in their for a pack n play, but if you have the room I would just use the pack n play with the bassinet attachment. They grow so fast and the reg. bassinets are really just a waste of money.
ReplyDeleteThat is the exact same car seat that I am registered for! It has a matching stroller too, fyi!
ReplyDeleteCute carseat! Looks comfy and I love the colors. It took us forever to pick out out that we both liked for our son. We went with the Chicco KeyFit travel system.
ReplyDeleteAs for the PnP with bassinet. I would definitely get it. It'll be super helpful for the first couple months, but then won't be completely useless once she outgrows it. Just pop the bassinet out and use the pack and play after and they're useful for travel too! Regular bassinets are just a complete waste of money.
yes on the pack and play!!! and I have a feeling I might have been that friend! I love your carseat!! I love that type of fabric!
ReplyDeleteBY THE WAY..babies r us is having a sale the 15th thru the rest of the month...20% off diaper bags and 5 bucks off the diaper genie and the bags...I got a thing in the mail for it. Also register for babies r us rewards points, you can get free diapers and such!
ReplyDeletehonestly you can so get away with a basinet inside the pack and play. if you are going to be ina 2 story house you may want 2 pack n plays. but really a basinet is not easy
ReplyDeleteDefinitely go with the pack-n-play with the bassinet attachment. It's worth the money because you'll be able to use it for way longer than a bassinet. If you're living in a two-story, it might be worth it to have both, though, because carrying the PNP up and down the steps might not be too practical.
ReplyDeleteLove the carseat, BTW.
That's the car seat we used before we switched to her convertible. It's super cute but she got really hot in it sometimes. IT wasn't a big enough problem to keep us from using it for baby #2 when the time comes. And the height and weight limits are so high we could still use it if we want to.
ReplyDeleteWe used the bassinet attachment for the pack n play for a few months. I still use the pack n play all the time, she plays in there while I shower if I can't get it done during nap time.
we picked up our bassinet from a garage sale for $10 and use it all the time (DD is 2 months). I love that it has wheels and can be used. Its also the perfect height to have next to the bed so if shes fussy, I can reach over and pat her while I'm still laying down.
ReplyDeleteWe just had a girl too and the lady bug theme is so cute. Good luck with the last minute shopping blitz, don't stress too much over it though. You will do fine.
ReplyDeleteThis such a great blog.
